Whole Foods Cake: $27.99
Topped with some Yuzu cream and lemon paste, this Whole Foods cake looked really good. Just like the presentation, the taste did not disappoint. The balance of flavors was great, being sweet, light and refreshing, and the fruity mango flavor complemented the rest of the cake.
Homemade Cake: $4.45
With some cake mix, icing, and sprinkles, I was good to go. The cake didn’t take too long to bake, and the taste actually surprised me. The texture was fluffy, the icing was not overpowering, and it overall was pretty good. The only issue with it was presentation. For a measly four bucks and a bit of time, this was a fairly positive result.
Fiji Water: $1.49
Advertised as “Earth’s Finest Water,” I could immediately see why. Even though the Dasani water was not bad, the Fiji water had a much more clear taste and was much smoother. There was no after-taste, just clear, plain, light water. Fiji was much better than Dasani, but the extreme price tag definitely did not make it worth the price.
Dasani Water: $0.25
For a price that was almost ten times cheaper than Fiji water, Dasani was already expected to be worse. However, the taste was actually not bad, with a smooth feel and the minerals added a nice touch to the flavor. There was an aftertaste after a while, but overall the water was completely fine for its price.
Buffalo Wild Wings: $1.50
Even though the wait time at Buffalo Wild Wings was a bit long, the Nashville Hot wings were cooked to perfection. The ranch and bleu cheese were also great, though I preferred the ranch. The wings were savory and spicy, making for a great flavor. Overall, they were great and not ridiculously expensive.
Schnucks Wings: $0.75
While at a cheaper price, the Schnucks wings were simply lacking in flavor and texture. The wings were also not fresh, so that hurt the texture. In terms of flavor, they were way more one-dimensional compared to the Buffalo Wild Wings. Due to the lacking quality of wings, the Buffalo Wild Wings was definitely better.
