During a calm fall evening, the sun starts to drift below the horizon as you drive down Olive Boulevard searching for your next meal. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, there’s so many options, cultures, cuisines, to take in. If this overwhelming scene sounds familiar, there’s a clear option for the next time you’re stuck in between a rock and a hard place. Orzo Mediterranean Grill truly is the perfect spot to go for your upcoming feasting.
You walk into a deeply shaped restaurant with plentiful seating and lighting and at the back, a build-your-own style serving bar with eager and attentive employees. You can choose a signature dish, such as their delicious beef and lamb gyro, or you can do a Chipotle-style build your own bowl or gyro.
As for the food itself, it’s nothing short of toothsome. I ordered the Beef and Lamb Gyro along with the greek fries with feta. Regarding the gyro, while not physically simple to eat, the uphill battle is well worth the struggle. You get to see the lamb chops cut on the vertical rotisserie before being dropped into a grilled pita with freshly cut vegetables. Concerning their well-known greek fries with feta, the fries do not fail to calm the mouthwatering predator that seems to be your taste buds. The soft mashed potato-like consistency of the warm interior pairs seamlessly with the crispy outside and the aperitive feta spread perfectly among the crowd.
