Forest Park was packed, full of concertgoers from near and far Sept. 9-10 for a much anticipated annual event: LouFest. LouFest is a musical festival that attracts young and old, with plenty of delicious taco and burger stations.
“[LouFest] is really fun because so many different people go and everyone is decked out in their most hipster outfits,” junior Alice Birchfield said. “Tons of local shops and restaurants set up booths and the food is always delicious.”
This year, the music lineup was headlined by popular artists Snoop Dogg, Cage the Elephant and Hippo Campus. LouFest enthusiasts saw over thirty different concerts over the course of two days.
“I enjoyed Cage the Elephant,” junior Peter Jakiela said. “They performed well and really made a connection with the crowd.”
Dancing along with the crowd, LouFest attendees had an unforgettable experience. The weekend was complete with sunny skies and perfect weather to top it all off.
“You can get up against the stage for concerts if you camp out and get a spot, which I think is the best part,” Birchfield said.
