Going into 2025, I made myself a new goal; start using a planner. It may not seem like much, but for me staying organized and on task can be quite the struggle. I have watched my friends and parents write down all their plans and meticulously check off todo lists throughout the day. But whenever I tried to do this, I found myself struggling to keep track of everything or even write down what I needed to do that day. Over time, I have watched my life turn into a jumbled mess of appointments, hangouts, and homework that I can barely keep track of. For many high school students, organization is a vital part of juggling homework, sports, and a job.
One key way we can create an efficient and organized environment is by using a planner. There are a variety of planners available on the market, some including monthly coverage, other daily, and some including fun stickers. For my first planner, I decided on a small book that included both monthly and day to day coverage. I wrote down all my appointments and big events for the month in the monthly section. In the day to day area, I wrote down my lists, goals, and homework assignments for the week.
Planners are a great way to enhance your time management, increase efficiency, and reduce your stress. Overall, planners are one of the most important tools we can have for success in our lives.
