The “Fresh Paint” art gallery boasts a number of elaborate student paintings. The paintings come from all different experience levels ranging from Painting I to AP Studio Art. “In April, there’ll be a senior art show, and we’ll put announcements out for seniors to bring in work,” Daniel Raedeke said. “We don’t jury the show, so everybody’s accepted in, and we fill the gallery space and also the foyer for that show.

A key monument in our school is the art gallery which houses hundreds of student pieces each year. But many students walking by the glass room don’t know the story behind each show, and the hard work put in by art students.
“We curate a number of shows each year, and we usually put out a call for artists or a call for student work,” Daniel Raedeke, a painting teacher, said. “Right now, the theme is a celebration of painting. As you can see, it’s very colorful. We’re celebrating color, paint, paint effects and paint experimentation.”
