In AP Language and Composition, students are currently conducting and presenting their own toast to 2024. Many students are writing about a wide variety of things, from well-known themes to personal moments.
“I’m toasting to dreams that inspire us and push us,” AP Language and Composition student Nylah Saffold (11) said.
This mini-project is an introduction to their fifth unit, rhetoric in letters and speeches. By creating their own speech and listening to others, students are becoming prepared for the upcoming unit at hand, while also having fun and being creative.
“I think it is very beneficial as it is easy and gives you freedom of choice because you can choose what you will toast to,” Saffold said.
