Note from the Creator:
I have always been interested in light trail photography. It is one of the genres that inspired me to start taking photos a few years ago. I love how moving cars appear as streaks of red, amber and white across the roads. I saw Instagram posts of these long exposure shots, but I never really found the time to come out to a location at dusk/night and start capturing. I took this photo of Interstate 64 from the parking lot of the new St. Louis County Library administration building at Spoede and Clayton. Everything in the frame is directly from 8 seconds of the camera being exposed to light, and nothing has been Photoshopped. I am happy I was able to catch the sky right after the sun went below the horizon. The cars driving on Spoede and on the on-ramps and off-ramps added some flair to the hundreds of others painting the interstate. I am really happy with the results of this and the few other photos I got from this session.
