Ladue’s opening loss to Parkway Central must seem so long ago for the Rams who dominated Priory in their district semifinal game by a score of 42-7.
Malcolm Davis, who is both the fullback and a linebacker for this successful football team, scored three times in the game. His first and longest run was from 14 yards out, coming immediately after a botched Priory punt attempt. Ladue led 21-0 at halftime, prompting a running clock during the second half.
The Rams also had a successful throwing day as quarterback Matthew Hooper passed for over 100 yards, including a 47 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Ryan Glazer. The Rams also scored on a short run by Hooper and another run by Daylen Edwards from 15 yards out late in the game. The only Priory touchdown came on a kickoff return as the Ladue defense completely dominated the game.
The Rams will play against Westminster for the district championship, hoping for revenge against the team that eliminated them last year.
