The Jonas Brothers is a boy band of three guys that have become popular over the years. They started in 2005, but in 2006 they made a name for themselves in the music industry. In the early years of their career their main demographic was pre-teens and young teenagers ages 10 to 15, but the band matured their style so now their demographic is closer to 16-25 year old. In addition, lots of older adults like their music. The Jonas Brothers having such a wide variety in ages that listen to their music makes the songs they produce frequently popular and highly listened too. Also, their music often ends up on the radio. I personally think that their music is a pop rock genre which I generally like. The Jonas brothers’ music has a very steady, upbeat sound. My favorite song that portrays the energetic sound is ‘Remember This.’ Out of a scale of five I would rate the Jonas Brothers a four. I definitely think that they are a great mood boosting band and would give them a listen.
Why Don’t We is a boy band of five guys that formed in 2016. The five band members before making the boyband were all independent artists and friends. They all met in 2016 and decided to form a band together. The members started the band at very young ages, so their voices had not fully developed, but now their voices are full and powerful. In 2019, the band put out a song and month which I find extremely impressive. After 2019, they took a nine month hiatus not only away from releasing music, but from social media overall to form their next album. In their album not only was it the boys singing but also songwriting and producing the music for the entire album. After listening to a few of their most recent songs, my favorites are called ‘Lotus Inn’ and ‘Grey.’ They are two very different tones. ‘Lotus Inn’ is a very quick and exciting song in comparison to ‘Grey’ which has a sad tone to show raw feelings. I am a fan of Why Don’t We after listening to a few songs. I would rate Why Don’t We a four and a half out of five just because nobody is perfect.
