Every cookie recipe shares five ingredients: fat, sugar, flour, a binding agent, and a leavener. If you change the measurements and ratios of these ingredients you can change the texture and shape of a cookie. When creating your own recipe and experimenting with an old one, there are many tips and tricks to follow. To learn more about these tips, check out www.cookiebakerco.com.
After experimenting with multiple different recipes, I have come to the conclusion that by following this recipe you can make the perfect cookie that is both a combination of soft and chewy texture. What makes this recipe different from other recipes is that it uses a different ratio of sugar to fat than other recipes. While most recipes call for 2 cups of sugar to 1 cup of fat, this recipe used only 3/4 cup of sugar to 1/2 cup of fat. In addition this recipe called for a crumbly consistency once the flour was added, while many other recipes say to add flour until you get a slightly tacky consistency. These two differences make this recipe stand out, and in my opinion make it the perfect recipe to follow.
