Ladue’s varsity football team has only two home games this whole year. They made the most of the first one as they destroyed Affton 30-0 on October 5th.
Quarterback Matthew Hooper came up big throughout the game, rushing for 75 yards and scoring two touchdowns. He was aided by running back James Scott who scored a 29 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and wide receiver Ryan Glazer who made three catches for fifty yards.
But the real story was the Ladue defense. They not only shut out the Cougars, but also forced a safety against the struggling Affton offense. Since the opening loss to Parkway Central, the Rams have won five straight games and have an inside track to win their conference.
Ladue travels to Clayton this Friday at 7:00 to play against the Greyhounds.
