Ladue’s varsity football team continues to show that their opener against Parkway Central was merely a fluke, beating conference rival Normandy Sep. 28 by a score of 47-6.
Despite short early touchdown runs by fullback Malcolm Davis and running back James Scott, Ladue’s offense did not dominate early in the game. Senior quarterback Matthew Hooper did not complete a pass until midway through the second quarter. However, Ladue put up 33 points in the second half with a lot of help of touchdown runs by running back Udell Hyde and a touchdown reception by wide receiver Ryan Glazer who leads the team in that category this year. Other scores were by Scott and running back Mario Whitley. Normandy’s one touchdown came late in the game, too late to mount a serious threat.
Ladue’s homecoming game is this Saturday at 1:00.
