On October 13th, Ladue played host to over 200 students from surrounding Missouri and Indiana schools for a special Link Crew Conference.
Link Crew serves as a program that assists transitioning freshmen students from middle school to high school. The goal is to “link” each freshmen with one or more upper-classmen (Link Leaders) who can act as mentors during the 9th graders’ early weeks of high school, and beyond. The freshmen automatically become connected to the school in ways that might otherwise have been unthinkable.
The conference, led by professional speaker and former Link Leader Patrick Maurer of PMaurer Communications, was put together in order to introduce fellow Link Leaders from different schools and to continue each student’s Link Crew training. The morning kicked off with an entertaining start, a spontaneous dance party, and continued with games of Tag, Zip-Zap-Zop and Ninja.
The buzz in the room was evidence enough that the seven-school-get-together was a huge success.

Great group with Link Crew. Excellent highlights from the event covered by Samantha. The video adds so much to the story. This is fabulous 21st Century multimedia reporting. Thanks Panorama for partnering and collaborating with Ladue View!
