You know it. We know it. Let’s sing it together: Bill Nye the science guy. Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill ! Bill!
You know Bill. We know Bill. Everyone knows Bill. Bill Nye the science guy is an icon of our generation’s science classes. Bill taught us matter. Bill taught us about volcanoes. Bill taught us about water. But most importantly, Bill instilled a love for science in fellow AP biology student, Hansika Sakshi: “I feel like Bill was legendary.”
Not only has Bill Nye made 100 episodes ranging over the course of five seasons, but he has won over 18 Emmy awards, six honorary doctorate degrees and two Netflix shows, making him a science and cultural icon.
In my opinion, Bill Nye the science guy does a good job at entertaining young folks while teaching them about science. His videos are interactive and visually appealing as the setting ranges from the outdoors, to space stations, to his laboratory.
Feeling nostalgic? Make sure to watch season 2 episode 4, Chemical Reactions, as that is his most popular video and keeps the audience the most on their toes. You won’t want to miss out on his mind blowing chemical reactions and explosions.
As you take on your science classes, whether it be biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and many more, always remember: Science Rules.
