My sister and I share the same birthday (but we aren’t twins). So, next week she’ll be turning 22, and I will be turning 18. We’ve kind of been deciding on how that’s going to look because we want to still celebrate while we are staying at home. We’ll have to get creative. I’m just glad that we get to be together on our birthday this year with our family (last year she was studying abroad) , and that we are still safe and healthy. This past month, I had to decide on my plans for next year. I am a pretty indecisive person in general, but the coronavirus added an extra layer of stress to the picture on so many levels. I was deciding on which college to attend, when I didn’t have the chance to visit some of the schools I was considering. I was actually supposed to visit them last month, but the tours got canceled the day before due to the coronavirus outbreak. However, I knew that I still needed to try to move forward. After doing some research on various colleges, I just had to go with my gut and hope for the best. I can imagine that a lot of other seniors were in a similar situation. I know that it is also possible that school won’t be able to start back up in the fall, but for now, I’ll just have to do my best to prepare- as will everyone else.
