“[I have] tried new foods while I had the time, like mochi…and dalgona coffee. Other than that, nothing has really changed…since the pandemic started. I bought the ingredients and tried to make [the] mochi myself, [using] rice flour and ice cream, but it…didn’t work out….I did [successfully] make the coffee by myself. [I recommend trying both] if people are ready to try different sensations and…foods.…I have more ‘me time’ to try different things, but [I also can’t] since we can’t really go anywhere while in quarantine.…I am [the] type of person who always needs a distraction, because being alone with my thoughts is very toxic to me.…I’ve been feeling…sluggish and tired and sad [throughout quarantine,] and I can’t wait until we get to leave quarantine. [I feel that] quarantine has been impacting teenagers’ mental health by ruining it. I know it’s been really hard with the amounts of [homework] and [difficulties] with working at home. Some teenagers, like me and my sister, have a really hard time working at home and prefer to work with teachers to get a better understanding [of what] we’re being taught.”
