I think the best thing about lockdown has been kind of getting to catch up on things that I didn’t have time to do when normal school was going on, like TV shows….And I think I’ve been trying more new things…in quarantine, like baking. I went ahead and bought myself a [Nintendo] Switch, which was crazy for me to do….I just decided to do it….I think that, sometimes, it can be a little sad, though, that everything we’re doing, mostly…is by ourselves. It kind of sucks to be doing these things and wanting to do them with your friends, or share them, but you can’t….I think that, after quarantine, people are going to be pretty cautious for a while, and I think that it’s going to take some getting used to seeing our friends, again–even if we’re going to be really excited about it….Everything’s changed so fast, and I think it might be hard to…[readjust.] I feel like during school, a lot of the time, it’s mostly just school [and] homework….I kind of forget that there’s anything else to do. So…when we go back to school…I’m hoping that I’ll be still doing these things, but I think that it might not be to the same level. I’d rather I still be in school right now, just because I think that a lot of us didn’t realize how much we appreciated school until we couldn’t go. Also, I consider myself…someone who enjoys learning–even if, sometimes, I get frustrated with school, and I don’t want to go. It kind of sucks to know that some of the learning experiences I would’ve had this semester are gone, and I’m worried about, maybe, not being as prepared for next year….I think that–and I’m sure teachers will be feeling this, too–that it’s…important that we all know that it’s going to be a hard transition back, and that…everyone’s going to have to be very patient with each other….I know some of my teachers have said that this experience has given them ideas for how to improve their teaching, so I’m interested to see what that’s going to look like for the teachers….I’m thinking, maybe, this could be a great learning experience….Also, I think students might come back with more time management skills, because when you’re not at school and you don’t have the strict schedule and you have to do it all yourself, then you–kind of–are forced to develop those skills.
