Eleny Flores

I had the joy of teaching Eleny during her junior and senior years at LHWHS. Eleny is the type of student who brightens every room she enters with her smile, positive attitude, and kindness. She balances academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and a job with a grace, maturity, and dedication far beyond her years. What makes Eleny such an incredible role model for her peers is that she does all of this while navigating the world in English, which is her second language. Eleny’s resilience, work ethic, and tenacity are truly incredible and I am endlessly in awe of all that she has accomplished. It is truly a privilege to have had the opportunity to have Eleny in class and I am a better person for having known her.
