Student Cardinals Vouchers

A Toast to 2024
Percussion students listen to feedback on their playing of the piece “The Lost” from Percussion teacher Elstner. Concert and symphonic percussion classes have different pieces to play for Night of Percussion. “We start practicing this early because we have limited amounts of rehearsals. Time runs out very quickly for us especially since this year we have four long pieces to play that require lots of practice and coordination between all players,” Hiken said.
Concert Customs
Previous students' works are displayed in the photography classroom. They focused on various environmental issues, from conservation to climate change. “The environmental students were in charge of coming up with the content and writing the vision statement, and then my photo students were in charge of teaching them some of the art elements and principles of how to be persuasive with your photographs," Warner said.
Environmental Activism Initiative in Photography Classes
Various art pieces by AP studio art students decorate the school gallery. The class is currently finishing up their pieces and hanging them in the gallery to prepare for their official gallery opening. "Everyone puts up something cool and different," Ashley Gray (12) said.
Artistic Expressions
Art pieces from different level ceramics classes are displayed in the library. Students were given the task of making tic-tac-toe boards, with very little restrictions. "I'm really happy with the way my piece came out," Scotlynn Jones said.

Claire Yates (9) and Serenity Xu (9) decorate posters for the Valentine’s Day fundraiser. FemCo held a meeting with members Jan. 23 to create decorations. “I’m looking forward to being a part of a club that’s doing a fundraiser,” Yates said.

They had presented "Flip the Script," an initiative to curb student drug use. “There is a problem with drugs in our society,” member Alexandra Tsygankov (12) said. “Whether you see it or not, it needs to be addressed.”
Board Update
Jake Winograd and Hobey Alton stand in the courtroom after their first Mock Trial competition. Winograd joined the club this year and prepared for months for the big day. "I was super excited but a bit nervous for the first trial, we lost but it was a good learning experience," Winograd said.
